Today we have a Wedding Flight that was booked last May and the weather today is excellent. I should use these guys as my weather contacts, ya think? I have picked one of the Keizer sites today as the forecast is light winds, maybe out of the south. We have the gazebo there also so it is a great place for a wedding get together. The gang and I get the balloon out and on the grass for the pump up. The bride and groom have opted to do the ceremony on the ground before the flight as one of the witness’s has qualms about “wicker”. I get the “I do’s” done and we are off the park drifting to the south at a gentle pace. We have a lot of “lookie-loos” today and several will join the chase. We move across Keizer and toward the Parkway and the pond next to Home Depot. I notice that some construction is happening next to the Big W (deaf school) and I’m curious as to what is going in. The drift is starting to carry us to the west and will put us across the river which is not really where I want to land today. The winds are light and I have the gang staging at Highland School and the Park across the street may be a workable option. I use the tree tops to slow us down and drop a line to the boys and we are in the “little” park for our landing. We get the balloon in the bag and load up for the short trip back to the park for the picnic.
I get the story started, the toast is done and the certificates are presented.

Whitney: “Thank you for a wonderful experience and fantastic ride. Loved the story and breakfast.”
Michael: “Absolutely amazing experience! Definitely not something easily forgotten.”
Holly: “Wonderful and breathtaking experience! A witty and funny pilot made the ride even better thanks so much.”
Jason: “Loved the ride. I enjoy heights so this was amazing experience. Thank you!”

A BIG thank you to today’s Crew (I can’t get in the air or back on the ground without’um)
