Passengers: Brian Louderback & Thea Dimacali

Today we are back in the “saddle again” to quote Gene Autry. We have a couple from Florida and Brian has booked a “Private” flight for a reason to be “determined”. We got rained out yesterday as a touch of fall was in the air so the winds are out of the south with the passing low pressure and I call for the West site as the launch site today. It is a gorgeous morning with some patchy fog and crisp fall air. The gang get the balloon ready and all pumped up. We are up and ready so I call for the passengers to get on board. We are off the lot and drift slowly to the north and east with some patchy fog toward the river. It is over the berry fields for a bit and I see that they are still harvesting. We drift next to the river for awhile as I look for some push form the west to get us into Keizer as the “gang” has moved to River Road. I finally find a little drift that carries us across the river and into Keizer. I get a nod from Brian and I think that this is the time he has flown across the country for. I am right and he is bowling over Thea with the request…and the answer is YES!! With all the excitement over it is time to find a spot to park. The gang is staged close to a spot that looks good, the Skyline Ford lot. I set up for the shot as the gang move into the property to get permission. We are on line for the lot and the gang is there for the line drop. We are on the lot and the gang gets us into position for the take down. We get the balloon in the bag and load up for the trip back to West Salem for the picnic.
I get the story started, the toast is done and the certificates are presented.

Brian & Thea: “Thank you so much for taking my girlfriend (now fiancée) and a beautiful day. It will forever be a memorable experience! Happy Flying!!!

A BIG thank you to today’s Crew (I can’t get in the air or back on the ground without’um)
