Passengers: Curtis & Deborah Climer, Ray & Jennifer Lewallen

Today we have a couple of Birthday Gals to play with. I call for our West Salem site as the forecast calls for SW-3. When we get to the site it looks like the weatherman is right today but it is really “sticky”. We get Starship up and call for the passengers to board and we are off to the east with a bit of a push to the north. It is over Somerset Heights then off to “Bambi” land but I don’t spot one. We continue across to the east toward the river. We travel past the island and spot a lot of Blue Heron then into Keizer. Past my newest “fun thing” the 25 foot bowling pin and on up River Road for a few minutes. I’m looking for a landing spot and have picked Weddle/Clagget Creek School’s as my LZ this morning. I set the shot as the gang move into the southwest corner of the soccer field. The wind falls off and I’m talking to “Mother Nature” for a push to the north so I can hit the gang. I get the push I need and make the drop into the field and the gang below. They tow us to the track which is dryer and we get the heat out for the pack up. We get the “lookie-loos” out of the school and the passengers do the “sit” . We load the van and head back to the Park for the picnic.
I get the story started, the toast is done and the certificates are presented.

Deborah: “Thank you for the beautiful ride! It was a great B-Day gift!”
Curtis: “It was lovely, I really enjoyed the perspective.”
Ray: “Very nice flight and an outstanding job.”
Jennifer: “Excellent trip! A great way to spend a 65th Birthday and I enjoyed it very much!”

A BIG thank you to today’s Crew (I can’t get in the air or back on the ground without’um)
Jan, Tim, Cecil
