Passengers: George & Gayle Jessie, David & Jeanette Neliton

We are again back to our “airport” in the Brooks area and the weather is GRAND! We have lighter winds than yesterday so we may not get out of the Mission Bottom farm country this morning. The gang, 2 of them today get the balloon out and pumped up. Once full we put in the heat and Starship is standing and the passengers are invited on board. We lift off with some low fog at the end of the strip, taking pictures and being taken back. Again we are over the hops then off to the south at an easy pace. The chase is on and since we are slow they will stage several times. We have a fantastic view of the “bottoms area” as we drift to the south with a bit to the west. I was right with the light wind we will land on a cleaned grass field on the Zielinski farm. Once over the tree line at Clear Lake I drop in and fly low to the gang at the other end of the field. We come to a stop in front of the rig and start the deflate and pack up. We get Starship in the bag then the passengers do the “sit” and we head back for the picnic.
I get the story started, the toast is done and the certificates are presented.

After we were done with the picnic and ready to leave Chris rolls out his plane and takes off right over us as we are leaving…COOL!
