Passengers: Dan Mart, Marcia Doughan, Mary Ouellette, Jennifer Geisler

Fall flying is at it’s best this week and it looks like today is no exception. I call for our far north site as surface winds have shifted back to a “normal” pattern. The gang gets to work on the balloon as the passengers drift in. We get the balloon “pumped” up and then I call for the passengers to get on board. We are off over the hanger and more to the west than I like. As I gain a bit of altitude we swing back to the south and over the beautiful farm country in the “bottoms”. The track sends us over Clear Lake and into GZ’s corn field that we got stuck over about 3 weeks ago. It is just beautiful this morning with patches of “moor’s fog” here and there. We have slowed a bunch and play over the farm country then I drop low to check out some power guys and give them a photo-op and make there day. We are moving toward Keizer and I’m looking for our LZ (landing zone) for today. We are on track for the driving range and I have the gang move there for the set up. All I have to do is clear the trees and the gang will catch us. There is a “new” owner and he has given us permission to use the parking lot for the deflate and pack up. We get the balloon in the bag and with help in getting the air out. We get the gear loaded up and head out to Brooks for the picnic.
I get the story started, the toast is done and the certificates are presented.

PASSENGER COMMENTS:
Marcia: “Great experience, something I have wanted to do. Thanks!”
Dan: “WOW! What and experience. The pilot was great, the flight, the view and the picnic at the end. Who could ask for more!”
Jennifer: “Super funny! The crew was amazing and the weather must have been special ordered!”
Mary: “A forever memory for sure! Thoroughly enjoyed the ride, the education, the food & beverage…You guys are the best!”

A BIG thank you to today’s Crew (I can’t get in the air or back on the ground without’um)
