Passengers: Oliver Henrichot, Tiffany Beers

Today we have a Private Flight set up by Oliver for Tiffany’s Birthday. Both these young people work for Nike in the sport shoe department, Oliver dreams up the design and Tiffany builds them. I call for our little Airport in the Brooks area as the forecast is out of the north as it was yesterday. It is calm at the site and we have small pockets of surface fog. The gang gets the balloon out and pumped up then I call for the passengers to board. We are off the field and head to the south over the harvested hops. The sun starts to burn through the fog as we drift off toward the farm country. You can see right through the fog and this make a perfect palate for an eclipse photo. I get a great photo shot of the kids and the eclipse, not your regular balloon shot. We continue on toward Keizer and I’m looking for a parking spot as we are less that a half mile from crossing (big fog bank) the river. I have a shot at Keizer Rapids Park which is a regular launch site, but I have not landed here since the Park opened a couple years ago. I call for the gang to move in for the catch as I set up the shot. We cross over Chemawa Road then I line up for the drop into the dog park. We use the parking lot for the take down and get the balloon in the bag. Since we are at one of launch sites we will do the picnic here next to the amphitheater.
I get the story started, the toast is done and the certificates are presented.

Oliver: “Wonderful new experience! Merci Beaucoup for all this!”
Tiffany: “Thanks so much! It was so calm and beautiful! …It was better than I expected. Great crew, great picnic and the stories were Awesome!”

A BIG thank you to today’s Crew (I can’t get in the air or back on the ground without’um)
