Passengers: Carl Linaburg, Sabrina Luke, Cerina Segal

Today we have a short window between all the storms that have been sliding through and I have 3 passengers that really need to get in this flight as Cerina is due to fly out tonight. I called for our site ‘C’ but after checking out the grass is was way to wet so I move us to the parking at Whittaker School as it is nice and dry for the stretch out and set up. We get the balloon pumped up and Cecil takes the Passengers inside for a “special shot so I send the “crew kids” in for a peek to. We are standing and I call for the passengers to join me on board and we are off the lot with a slight push to the west. We do have a rather low ceiling (ASOS said 1200 ft) so will be low today as well as very slow and all over the map today. The rains of last week has knocked off a lot of “tree color” but there is still some left to brighten our flight. I’m surprised to see a local “club” pool still full this late in the year. The gang stages at a church parking lot as we are doing a circle tour of Keizer. The hour is up and we are over a good LZ so I have the gang move to the park. I toss down a rope to the gang so they can keep us off the fence and we get a tow to the pavement for a dry take down. Cecil gets the bag tied up, with some young help and the sit is done. We load up and will head downtown to do the picnic.
I get the story started, the toast is done and the certificates are presented.

Carl: “What a wonderful & relaxing trip! I really liked looking down at the sheep & seeing them look back up at us.”
Sabrina: “Thanks to the crew and Captain Jim! What a great adventure.”
Cerina: “Great Captain, Great crew! I loved the awesome landing, can’t wait for the next ride.”

A BIG thank you to today’s Crew (I can’t get in the air or back on the ground without’um)
