Passengers: Chuck and Cheryl Knoles, Linda Stroup, Janet Cook
Today we have two local passengers (the Knoles) and two more from far away Colorado flying with us. I call for the Brooks site today as the winds aloft have swung back around to the north once again. The gang gets the
balloon out and prepared once up I call for the passengers. We are off the tarmac we drift to the pond at Knife River and I decide to wake up Lynda by dipping the basket into the water. It worked just fine, she was surprised. We proceed on toward Keizer at an easy pace over the farm country for a bit then into the more urban sections of town. Time to park for today and I see a city park on the track and that will be the LZ for this morning. The gang is set as I set the shot for the park, over some short trees and a great catch by the gang. We move to the walkway for the take down, get it in the bag with the sit done and head back to picnic.
I get the story started, the toast is done and the certificates are presented.
PASSENGER COMMENTS: Linda: “Wonderful! A Dream come true! Great ride and great people!” Janet: “What a treat! We loved it! Such an awesome FREE feeling! Chuck: “So much FUN!” Cheryl: “Great flight and GREAT crew!”
A BIG thank you to today’s Crew (I can’t get in the air or back on the ground without’um)
