Passengers: Rick Knight, Roy Barnhart

We are again back to the Brooks site but the winds are lighter today according to the pi-ball. We get the gear off the truck and stretched out for the cold air. Once we are standing I call for the passengers to join me in the basket. We lit off the tarmac and head out to the west. The winds are VERY light so we kind of “hang” around the area until I can find a little movement. We cross over some hop fields that are being harvested so we get a “up close” look at the process. Once the trucks leave the field they have a short drive to the processing plant down the road. With the light winds we will not get off the “bottoms” today and all the flight will be over farmland. The hour has passed and the LZ (landing zone) has been spotted. When we drop altitude we get a shove to the north and have to use a field across the road. We are greeted by the owner, farmer (retired) Fast and he watches us as we get packed up. We load up say “thanks” and head back for the picnic.
I get the story started, the toast is done and the certificates are presented.

PASSENGER COMMENTS:
Roy: “Good flight, we got to watch being harvested. Not much wind but a Great day!”
Rick: “Well done guys! Beautiful flight, very enjoyable and I highly recommend this to anyone!”

A BIG thank you to today’s Crew (I can’t get in the air or back on the ground without’um)
Cecil, Tim, Jo Ann (& ‘Punk’)
