Passengers: Maja Hlavova, Adalberto & Shellie Reyes
We are back to the north launch site after an “off site” flight yesterday. The pi-ball shows us this is the right spot today with the drift to the south and the sun poking up to the east. The “gang” gets the gear out and ready for the air, I have Cecil add the heat and we are ready for the passengers to join us on board. We are off the field and head out toward the ponds of Knife River. We get our “reflection” shot then say good morning to the dredge crew on there way to work. We cross over the tree line and into the tree farm next door. We are into the flight for a bit and the passengers are starting to enjoy the countryside. We cross over Brooklake Road (with the gang below) and head toward the east. I have Cecil drop a bit to get the hook back to the west and better LZ’s at the end of the hour. It is harvest time in a lot of the fields in the Brooks area (good news for us) and the train folks are getting read too. We hook back to the west and over Schrieners Gardens and head toward Keizer Station. We are in Keizer at the end of the hour and we call for the LZ to be a park. The “gang” is in the park as we set up the shot to slip in from the west side. There is s “sharp” hook to the east and that will put us in a perfect spot for the drop to the boys. The boys tow us across the field to the parking lot for the take down and the pack-up. We get the bag “sit” done then head back north for the picnic.
I get the story started, the toast is done and the certificates are presented.
