Passengers: Corena Labansky & David Chovanec, Sara Grigorieff & Randy Jackson
I call for the Brooks site for today as we still have the north to south drainage so I call for the Brooks site and the pi-ball confirms this will work fine. The “gang” gets the gear out and the envelope pumped up with cold air. Randy is a bit of a photog so Cecil take him inside for a “closer look” before adding the heat to the system. I call for the passengers to come onboard and we are off the tarmac. We drift down the runway past the hops and over the ponds at Knife River. We are moving right along so I opt for the reflection shot and keep the passengers feet dry. It’s up over the tree line and past Willamette Tree farm, over Brooklake road and over the blueberry nursery. We start to move out of the farm country and get closer to Keizer as the end of the hour starts to approach. I have spotted the LZ (landing zone) for today a school that we have been in several time this summer. I call for the “gang” to move that way and they are there for the catch. We get the balloon deflated and tied off for the bag “sit” by the passengers. We get the gear back in the truck and head back north for the picnic.
I get the story started, the toast is done and the certificates are presented.
PASSENGER COMMENTS: Sara: “WOW! It was wonderful. Now I can take this off my bucket list, Thanks!” Randy: “Awesome trip, smooth as butter. Thanks a million!” Corena: “Awesome ride, I will come back for more!” David: “Loved it, awesome flight!”
A BIG thank you to today’s Crew (I can’t get in the air or back on the ground without’um)
Cecil, Mike, Ed
