Passengers: Leslie Shorb, Mason Cole, Joy Vanfossen

I call for the Brooks site today and the pi-ball shows that we have a normal push to the south at the 3/5 MPH upper air speed. The gang gets the gear out and the top in, we add the cold air and Ceciladds the heat. We are standing tall and I have the passengers join me in the basket. We are off the field and drift over the hops then on toward the ponds at Knife River. I think that we need to get our feet wet so we can take Joy’s mind off her “fears” and I do a really BAD dip…way too deep! It’s over the trees as we head toward the edge of Keizer. We get a slight hook to the east and will miss the school for our LZ (landing zone) today so I send the gang down O’Neil Road to the grass fields next to the day care as that will be the parking spot today. I send down a line and the guys catch us as the gals from the house come out to say hello. We get the air out, the fabric tucked up and the passengers do the “sit”. We load up and head back to Finney Lake for the party.
I get the story started, the toast is done and the certificates are presented.

PASSENGER COMMENTS:
Leslie: “You guys are all fabulous! What an experience, thanks a million!”
Joy: “Life experience, I loved it and thank you!! You guys are very nice and SWEET!!”

A BIG thank you to today’s Crew (I can’t get in the air or back on the ground without’um)
Cecil, Tim, Richard
