Passengers: Darcy Cates, Lindsey Norris, Jake Leslie, Mike Leslie
Today we have a WEDDING in the air, the first of the season and a fun group to play with too. I call for the Brooks site as the winds are perfect for a Keizer landing at the end of the hour. We get the balloon out and start the “pump up” and in a bit it’s time to add the heat. Cecil gets Starship up and standing tall and it’s time to board the passengers. We are off the tarmac and headed out over the hops to the south at an easy pace. We swing to the west past the ponds so NO wet feet today. We have a push to the west low so I climb higher looking for more east. I find what I want at about 1400 feet so while up here we will do the “I Do’s” too. It was requested to be “causal” so I followsuit and in a FLASH Jake and Lindsey are Mr. & Mrs. We drift in to Keizer over Wheatland Roadand toward Inland Shores and the first LZ shot at the Medical Center. Down low we have a push to the east and I miss the target by about 200 feet and have to jump up over River Road and take a look for number 2 spot. I pick Keizer City Hall and the “gang” has already staged there waiting for our arrival. With the help of a drop line the catch is made and we move to the lot at the Center for the take down. It’s a tight fit but we get Starship down and read for the pack. The passengers do the “sit” and we load up and head back for the picnic.
I get the story started, the toast is done and the certificates are presented.
