Passengers: Sharry Burwood, Matthew Smith, Brock & Gerri Pratt
Third day in a row at the Brooks site with the sun shinning bright. We get the balloon out and pumped up soon it’s full and ready for heat. Once we are standing tall I call for the passengers to come on board. Today we have some OLD friends flying with us it’s Gerri’sbirthday/graduation flight with her hubby Brock. The both crewed for us about 20 years ago. We drift off the tarmac heading to the south and for the ponds again today. I drop low to “sneak” up on the water and drop us in for a 8/10 minute boat ride across the lake. It’s been a long time since I’ve spent that much time on the water. I pull us out close to the bank as we drift over the trees to the south. We stay low over the hazelnut farms of Dustin Zielinski then it’s over clear lake toward his Dads farm and our landing spot for today. The gang move in as I set the shot and we are down in the dusty spot and get it tagged up for the bag. The “sit” is done and we head back for the picnic.
I get the story started, the toast is done and the certificates are presented.
PASSENGER COMMENTS: Gerri: “Wow still fabulous after 22years. My favorite thing on the planet, Thanks!!” Brock: “Have done this many times & still love it as much as the first time 22 years ago. Jim & crew as always did a great job. Thanks!!” Sharry Matt: “So nice, thank you!”
A BIG thank you to today’s Crew (I can’t get in the air or back on the ground without’um)
