Today we have another wedding party (number 2 of this year) and fun group it is too. I call for a north site as the forecast calls for a drift to the south. The “gang” gets the balloon out and starts the assembly as the Wedding Party arrives on scene. The bride and groom are checked in and the rest of the party also including TWO brides maids. We get the balloon top in and then filled and it’s time to load in this “wild bunch” and get into the air. After the usual few minutes to get the passengers “adjusted” to what we are doing I climb up to about two thousand feet (and in the soup) we start the ceremony. They both have composed there own vows for the occasion with Sven going first then Natasha. We then do the traditional “ring” exchange with the bride and then the groom then I do the official “I do’s” and they are Mr. & Mrs. Howard! We have done all the “damage” we can do today and I’ve found a track that just might carry us back to the school, but after a bit it dies off and we are over a Bell Foods cherry orchard so I have the “gang” move to us for a road landing today. We just spent a couple of hours the other day “dusting off” the balloon so I have the gang layout some tarps to keep some of the dirt off during the drop and pack-up. We get loaded back up and head back for the picnic.
I get the story started, the toast is done and the certificates are presented.
