Passengers: Erin McGath, Kira & Kinney Charles
We are in a bit of a “heat low” so the winds today will be light so I call for the west site as the meeting point. We get the balloon out, get the gear hooked up and the cold pack started. When the balloon is filled Cecil takes in the passengers for a look inside then adds the heat. It’s time to load up the passengers and get the “show” in the air. As the “test” balloon showed the winds are light as we drift slowly to the east with a bit of south push. We cross over Wallace and spot some “bambies” munching the blackberries next to the housing complex. We then get hooked to the north and cross the slough and wake up some homeless at there camps. We then double back on our own track (be sure to look at TRACK) and head toward the ball fields. We do a complete 360* circle over the Federal Housing complex then I get a shot at the parking. I set the shot for the lot and slip over the trees as the gang comes to meet us on the grass. We get a tow to the asphalt and get the balloon down and ready to pack. The passengers do the “sit” and we load up for the “short” trip for the picnic at the park (that we landed in).
I get the story started, the toast is done and the certificates are presented.
PASSENGER COMMENTS: Erin: “Gorgeous morning! Riding in the balloon was so peaceful. The views were amazing. Thanks so much for the fantastic experience.”
A BIG thank you to today’s Crew (I can’t get in the air or back on the ground without’um)
Cecil, Tim, Dr. T.
