July 12, 2014 Passengers: Lyle & Debbie Gibby, Tom & Norma Mack I call again for the west site as the winds are forecasted to be light. We get the balloon out and start the pump up as the passengers watch, then when filled Cecil takes Lyle in for a “peek” then we get it up and ready to load up. We are off the lot as the sun breaks over the trees and head past the gravel pit on the way to the river. I take a shot at a “splash & dash” but get back drafted toward the lines so I have to go high and reset the shot. The 2nd set-up works well and we get a cheer from some residents on the bank. I go higher to try and find some push to the east and find it. The hour is up and I’m looking at a spot to park, we miss the car lot and move on toward the Goodwill lot. As I set the shot we get a little push to the north and will land on the Bi-Mart lot today. The boys on the ground pull us down between the light poles and we start to deflate. We get the balloon tagged and ready for the sit. We get the gear loaded and head back to the west side for the picnic. I get the story started, the toast is done and the certificates are presented.
