July 26, 2014 (wedding)
|
Today we have WEDDING in the air flight with some “special” circumstances. At the request of the passengers we will post no NAMES or PICTURES of the passengers or where they are from. So the story today will be a bit different than the normal.
I call for the north site again today and the gang gets the balloon out, pumped up and ready for the passengers to board. We are off the field and head out to the south just after the sun climbs over the trees. The track carries us over the tree farm then on into Keizer. Once over Mc Nary golf course we are at about 2500 feet and we do the “official” ceremony then drop altitude as we slip across the river into west Salem and our LZ for today the “1990” farm. The boys get us ready for the pack and we head back to the launch site for the toast and gifts.
PASSENGER COMMENTS: Bride: “I’m so thankful for this priceless & forever memorable experience. Thanks for making my marriage so special!” Groom: “Ditto !” Maid of Honor: “Wonderful ride, an adventure of a landing!! Thank you for an awesome trip. No better ways to see my best friend get married.” Best Man: “Thank you for the special memory and adventure. What a time, thank you!”
A BIG thank you to today’s Crew (I can’t get in the air or back on the ground without’um)
Cecil, Tim
