Passengers: Becky Troxel, Sherry Hunter, Luis & Kelsey Perez-Lopez
The upper winds have fallen off so I move us into Keizer and we meet at City Hall (we will picnic here) for the pi-ball check then move to the school parking lot about a mile away. We get the gear out and the balloon ready to pump up. Time for the passengers to make there way to the basket, load up and the adventure begins with the sunrise. We are off the lot and catch a sloe drift to the south as expected. We have an anniversary couple on board today and they look to be having a fun morning. The track carries us over our picnic spot then we hook to the west and will cross the river in a bit. We slip into West Salem and I have the “gang” move to the bridges to join us for the landing. The fist spot is the “1990” farm but when I set the shot we get shove off so the next spot is down wind. We have a great “balloon friendly” lot in the flood plane so it’s always ready for us. I set the shot and we still have the back draft from the first shot so I send down a line as we are on the wrong side of the fence. The boys get us over the fence and we drop the balloon for the pack up. We get the sit done and load up for the trip back for the picnic.
I get the story started, the toast is done and the certificates are presented.
PASSENGER COMMENTS: Luis: “I really liked it, it was a neat and interesting experience.” Kelsey: “We had a wonderful time! What a breathtaking new and wonderful way to spend our anniversary! Thank you all for such a wonderful experience!” Becky: “Thank you for the wonderful morning, another item off Mom’s bucket list!” Sherry: “Thank you for helping me fulfill one of my ‘Bucket List’ wishes, it was great! Jim is so informative and the crew was super and funny too, great fun!”
A BIG thank you to today’s Crew (I can’t get in the air or back on the ground without’um)
