Again we are at the north site as the winds have been holding steady, north to south. We get the balloon out of the bag and start the inflation, get some air in and soon its ready for some heat. We are off the field as the sun pops over the buildings and our adventure for today has begun. I catch a hook to the west and we move toward the ponds at Knife River and I slip over the trees to the water for a reflection shot. After the ponds I go higher to check out the winds aloft and at 900 feet we are doing 18 MPH so I drop back into the bottoms to slow down. We are back to 2/5 and approaching the golf course which we drift over slowly to my LZ for today a school play field. As I set the shot we get shoved to the parking lot and the gang is there for the drop line catch. We get the balloon dropped, then deflated and tied for the bag sit. Now it’s time to head back for the picnic.
I get the story started, the toast is done and the certificates are presented.
PASSENGER COMMENTS: Bette: “Good trip!” Noel: “Super ride!” Tom: “Thank you for the amazing experience.” Joe: “Great experience!”
A BIG thank you to today’s Crew (I can’t get in the air or back on the ground without’um)
