We have a Birthday flight for Nathan and it’s on MY birthday too and the launch site is on Molly’s side of town. We get the balloon out and start the pump up and when it’s full I add the heat. We get the passengers on board and are off the lot drifting to the east, northeast. We drift slowly toward the gravel operations then on toward the river for a reflection shot. I’m on track for a good LZ today and I have the gang move to the school for the shot. At tree top I get the hook needed to make the field and once over the trees I send down a line and we are on the running track. We get the air out, the balloon tagged then in the bag for the “sit”. We load up and head back to the park for the picnic.
I get the story started, the toast is done and the certificates are presented.
PASSENGER COMMENTS: Rachel: “It was so wonderful! So much better than anything I’ve been on before!” Nathan: “Happy Birthday Jim, it was a great flight!” Amy: “My sister was terrified but we all had such a great time!” Jill: “What a great flight. Thanks for a wonderful morning!”
A BIG thank you to today’s Crew (I can’t get in the air or back on the ground without’um) Colby, Isaac, Molly
