Again back to the Brooks site for the launch this beautiful morning. We get the balloon out of the rig and ready for the flight. Soon we are pumped up and ready for Cecil to add some heat. Once we are standing the passengers join us in the basket. We are off the field as the boys load up and our adventure has begun as we drift off to the east as an easy pace. There is a definite “nip of fall” in the air as this is the first morning in over a month that we launch below 60+ degrees. This track will carry us over the Powerland (the site of the 2015 balloon championships) in about 363 days. We cross over Brooklake off the Powerland parking lot and toward Schrieners Iris operations. The passengers have defiantly got INTO what a balloon is all about and having fun as drift past Gubser School toward our LZ for today another school down wind. We slip up on the soccer fields at the school (with the sprinklers on) and once over the trees the gang comes to tow us over the fence to the parking lot. We get the balloon deflated, tubed up and the bag sit is done. Back at the launch site
I get the story started, the toast is done and the certificates are presented.
