Passengers: Kristin Stuckrath & Steven Frystak
Back in the Brooks site today with a PRIVATE flight for a really nice young couple. We get the gear hooked up, the air is pumped in and when full we add some heat. I call for the passengers to join me and we are off to chase the sunrise. We catch the drift to the south as we leave the field. At a couple hundred feet I get a hook to the west toward the ponds of Knife River so I climb a bit higher to find more of a south track. I don’t find what I want higher and it’s a bit fast so I drop down low for the east hook we had at the start. The passengers have settled in as we get into the Keizer area. We cross the golf course and slip toward our LZ for today the field at the Medical Center at Inland Shores. We barley get to the field as there is no surface wind at all, get the balloon deflated and tagged for the bag “sit”.
We head back to the school for the picnic, the toast is done and the certificates are presented.
PASSENGER COMMENTS: Kristin: “Awesome ride, something I’ve wanted to do before I started my bucket list. Thank you so much!” Steven: “ To live in a box is to die in a box….Keep soaring the sky.”
A BIG thank you to today’s Crew (I can’t get in the air or back on the ground without’um)
Cecil, Tim, Molly (no boys today)
