Passengers: Sally, Brian & Megan Dunkin
Today we back at the school on River Road N. as the winds are still in the north to south mode. The gang get the balloon out, we start the pump up then Cecil adds the heat and we are ready for the basket to be loaded up. We are off the field and the adventure for today has begun. It’s a beautiful day and most of the smoke from the Corvallis wild fire has gone away. We hook slightly to the east for a bit then once we cross I-5 I drop down to slow down and we catch some model airplane boys at the “sod yard” getting there planes ready to fly in the calm morning air. The chase is on for the gang on the ground as higher we were moving right along (topped out at 12 MPH) so for the rest of the flight we will stay lower and SLOWER. We miss about 3 LZ’s in the northeast side of town and the gang has staged at Chemeketa Comm. College next to the motorcycle class being held in the parking lot. We run out of breeze over the green houses and the gang has to come tow us to the lot for the take down. The boys get us packed up and the passengers do the “sit” and we are on our way back to the school for the picnic.
I get the story started, the toast is done and the certificates are presented.
PASSENGER COMMENTS: Brian & Megan: “Amazing !!! Simply amazing !!! I was terrified going into it, but not 5 minutes up and I was loving it! So peaceful, I can’t wait to take my kids in a few years! Please keep doing what you do, you and your crew are exceptional! Much thanks!!” Sally: “ So Fun!!!”
A BIG thank you to today’s Crew (I can’t get in the air or back on the ground without’um)
Dr. T, Mitch, Tim & Cecil,
