The winds have been holding out of the north so we are again at the Brooks site. We are flying some friends of Dr. T. so he’s on the gang today but we are a bit light on the “boots” so his friend Frank will join us and help today. We get the balloon filled and have the passengers join me in the basket. We are off the field and move slowly to the south with a strong push to the west. We cross over Brooklake road and slip into the bottoms are where I drop low to slow us down a bit. The drift carries us toward Clear Lake and we play between the trees then on toward our LZ for today, Zielinski Farms and the red gate. The winds are light as we drift slowly to the gang that is waiting as we swing that way. We get the balloon in the bag and head back for the picnic.
I get the story started, the toast is done and the certificates are presented.
PASSENGER COMMENTS: Sarah “Thanks for a wonderful morning. I wasn’t prepared for the beauty of the valley and the balloon itself was breathtaking. Jim told us a lot of stuff about what we were flying over…so fun! Blessing to all of you.” Michelle: “This was for a birthday to remember! It was so beautiful and more than I ever could’ve wished for thanks so much!” Sean: “I will always remember this flight. The pilot kept us entertained and the scenery was gorgeous, thank you!”
A BIG thank you to today’s Crew (I can’t get in the air or back on the ground without’um) Frank, Beth, Dr.T.
