Passengers: Indalecio Perales, Clara, Bianca, Ashley Ramirez

We have been down a couple of days but are back out north with a family of four today. The gang gets the balloon prepared, filled up with cold air and I call for the passengers to join me in the basket. We are off the field and drifting to the south at an easy pace. It’s a “magical” morning with some ground fog in the area which always makes for some great photo opportunities. With the white background the eclipse shot always shows the “rainbow” effect. As the sun burns through the fog we drift across River Road and closer to Indalecio’s house downby the Hitching Post. The girls get on the phone as we sneak up on the house and grandpa comes out in the yard to say Hello. I go higher now to get more adjustment back to the west and a better landing spotin Keizer. I radio the gang that I will use a school today and they move that direction. We all get to the school at the same time and the sprinklers have the field really wet so we get a tow to the parking lot for the take down. The gang gets Starship ready for the bag, the passengers do the “sit” and we load up to head back for the picnic.
I get the story started, the toast is done and the certificates are presented.
