Like yesterday we are again out north at the school. We have Ed’s daughter Willow with us today and she bought along her friend Page too. The gang gets the balloon out of the bag, the top put in and we get the air pumped in as the passengers look on. We get the balloon full and standing so I call for the passengers to board and we are off the field heading to the southwest. I have too much push to the west so I go high looking for more south and find it above 1200 feet. We are moving right along (13 MPH) as we approach Mc Nary golf course so I drop down over Clear lake looking for less speed and more east push. I get what I want as we double back on our own track due east. We hop over the power lines and into Mc Nary estates and cruse the roof tops for a bit. I noticed that several people are walking there dogs in the corner of the driving range so I sit us down and call the gang but we are next to a gated community and the gang can’t get in so we lift off again and will try to get to the school next to the filbert field. I do have some “steerage” winds and I work them to get us to the gang at the school. We come over the trees and drop right into the parking lot and the gang catches us. We get the balloon deflated and get the sit done and it’s back to Brooks and the picnic.
I get the story started, the toast is done and the certificates are presented.
