Today I call for our Brooks site as the forecast for NE at about 3. The test balloon shows me that we have VERY light wind with a slow push to the west. The gang gets the balloon out of the bag and we get the fan started to fill the balloon with cold air. Cecil adds the heat for us and I call for the passengers to come on board. We are off the field and head out over the hops and toward the ponds to the south. I set up for a dip but low I get hooked to the west and all we get is a reflection shot. We continue the slow drift to the southwest and the passengers have settled in to the “wonder” of the flight. The gang has staged and I spot the only open area within miles of crops so I call this our LZ for this morning. We land in a brand new filbert field and the gang gives us a tow for the take down. We get the balloon ready for the bag, the sit is done and we head back to Finney for the picnic.
I get the story started, the toast is done and the certificates are presented.

PASSENGER COMMENTS:
Marie & Todd: “Thank you! Another item off our bucket list.”
Priyatham & Phani: “It was wonderful and we enjoyed it! Thank you!”

A BIG thank you to today’s Crew (I can’t get in the air or back on the ground without’um)
Cecil, Ed, Jerry, Richard
