August 9, 2015 Passengers: Kris Ostrowski & Anna Kolinska, Mike Hoffman & Jessica Karter We have two couples today from opposite end of the valley, one up north and another down south. I started out at the west site but the test balloon showed me we need to move so it’s to Keizer today. We will use the parking lot at the school and a second pi-ball proves this to be a good move. We get the balloon out and start the cold pack and Cecil decides that the passengers need to inside for a peek. The first in is our “birthday girl” then it’s the 25th anniversary couple’s turn. We get the heat into the system and we are standing and ready for the passengers to board. We are up and ready to get airborne. We are off the lot and drift off to the south at an easy pace. Our passengers start to settle into what we do and are getting into the “magic” that is balloon flight. We cross over one of our favorite landing spots where the “gang” has staged but it’s early and we will continue on. We are coming up on the lake at the Capitol Auto complex so I set up for a closer look at the pond. I miss a chance to get our feet wet but only by a few feet as we run out of water. We have a great landing spot in front of us so I drop down and the crew is there for the catch. We get the balloon tagged and in the bag then load up to head for the park at city hall for the picnic. I get the story started, the toast is done and the certificates are presented. PASSENGER COMMENTS: Kris: “Thank you for a beautiful and memorable experience. We were glad to be a part of your ‘addiction’. You and your crew made this a special day even better.” Anna: “Great experience! Thank you for making our 25th anniversary really unique! I loved coming over the lake and a very smooth ride and landing too.” Mike: “Absolutely awesome!! The crew and pilot were awesome! I was nervous at first but so happy to have flown, would love to do it again.” Jessica: “Awesome birthday experience! I thoroughly enjoyed my balloon ride, Jim and the crew is amazing!
