Passengers: Summer Young & Wade Young-Jelinek, Rene and Marilyn Baumgartner
The winds have died off a bit today so I move us into Keizer proper and will start at City Hall. The pi-ball (test balloon) gives us great idea the calm upper winds so we move to the school parking lot and get the gear unloaded. We get the cold air in the envelope and Cecil & Joe go inside to get the lines adjusted and it’s time to add some heat. I call for the passengers to please come on board, then we slowly drift off the lot and the “gang” gets the area packed up and ready for the chase. Down low I have a sharp turn to the southeast which is not the direction I really want to go so I try the higher road and get what I needed, a drift back to the northwest. Later I drop back down lower to use that southeast push to get us to a great landing zone (LZ) as we drift over the Parkway them the Oregon Deaf School (landed there last week) and onward to the LZ. It’s over the industrial zone the we zero in on the big green parking area for the catch. The gang gets the balloon ready for the bag and we load up and head back for the picnic.
I get the story started, the toast is done and the certificates are presented.
PASSENGER COMMENTS: Marilyn & Rene: “Wonder experience, friendly staff, beautiful views, defiantly would recommend this to others, will do this again.” Summer & Wade: “Thank you for an amazing morning! So calm, a wonderful gift for my husbands Birthday. We would highly recommend it to anyone.”
A BIG thank you to today’s Crew (I can’t get in the air or back on the ground without’um)
