The winds have dropped off a bit so I move us to west Salem and the church parking lot. We get the balloon pumped up and when it’s full we get the passengers in the basket and are off the lot heading to the south at a slow pace. We aren’t going to cover much ground today as no matter what altitude I try there just isn’t much wind. The gang stage in a parking lot and I’m looking at the Middle School as the LZ for today. We get the balloon down and ready for the pack up. The passengers get the “sit” done. We get the gear loaded and head back to the church to get the cars.
I get the story started, the toast is done and the certificates are presented.
