Passengers: Vladmir Okara & Dariya Kylykivska

Today we have a PRIVATE flight which usually means one thing…a surprise for someone!! We are out in Brooks again at the Weathers property as the school site is busy today. There is defiantly a “nip” of fall in the air as the gang gets the balloon gear out and ready for some welcome HEAT. After a peek inside the balloon I call for the passengers to join me and we are off the ground and the “adventure” has begun. The drift carries us to the south and about 5 MPH and the couple is having what Dariya thinks is JUST a nice balloon ride over recently harvested hops. School has started this week so we have busses traveling down the road looking for their “kiddies”. We are about 30 minutes into the flight and Vladmir is ready to spring his SURPRISE on Dariya and she said yes! We have drifted off Clear Lake, into the Keizer area and a take shot at the first LZ (landing zone) today and I miss Keizer Elementary by a couple of blocks. The next shot is a few blocks to the south and open field next to Loren’s Sanitation just past some new construction. The gang is on the street as I se the shot and we are in the field safe and sound. We get the balloon deflated, tagged and the “sit” is done. We load the gear and return to Finney for the picnic.
I get the story started, the toast is done and the certificates are presented.

PASSENGER COMMENTS:
